Our client has retained us to search for a new business solution sales team, our client is a global Business Solutions Consultancy offering an integrated portfolio of business software and IT enabled services delivered through its unique Global Network Delivery model, with a global workforce in excess of 110,000 people, operating from 47 countries with annual sales of $4.3 billion.
They are launching a strategic initiative into the application solutions arena for the global Financial Services sector, as a direct result they are looking for business-minded executives to offer high value enterprise business solutions, incorporating services, software, outsourcing and bespoke managed services.
The Financial Solutions division is a comprehensive portfolio of business solutions for Banks, Capital Market firms, Insurance companies and diversified Financial companies. Each solution is designed to run as a scalable and robust service, fully integrated with existing business models, enterprise infrastructure and technology architectures.
It is a globally recognised industry leader, their financial solutions have depth and breadth in core banking, payments, regulatory compliance, straight through processing, transaction systems, risk in both Retail and Investment Banking sectors and Life and Pensions in the Insurance sector.
Overview of the role
Key elements of the role include:
- Strategic Selling: Develop an understanding of the customers organisation; business goals, financial performance, key business priorities/dependencies, policy owners, markets and divisions as well as their Enterprise business and technology strategy, to deliver measurable business benefit to the customer. Initiate, develop and close enterprise level sales engagements.
- Relationship selling: personally engage at an executive level in the business and IT areas of existing and new potential clients. Lead and manage the relationship with prospects and/or customers in named accounts.
- Resource Management: co-ordinate and lead resources across the territory to ensure a seamless, consistent and co-ordinated approach to the customer.

Responsibilities: Own and develop new business sales revenue selling Financial Service solutions. Focus on initiating contacts in target accounts. Proactively engage with contacts to identify and create new business opportunities. Understand the decision making process and how it applies to different values and categories of project. Identify key people who influence specific project categories and key people who authorise expenditure. Understand purchasing policy and process. Promote the Companys image, experience, expertise and reputation as a strategic provider of application solutions and services. Manage opportunities through a defined sales process by creating and developing a plan to win and close business. Communicate the opportunity plan and co-ordinate relevant company resources, including executives, pre-sales and post sales, to secure business. Build account intelligence and regularly update a detailed account plan. Develop sales campaigns that identify and address customer business issues. Prepare all written materials for the project.
Experience Substantial software or enterprise solutions sales experience within one of the main core areas of the Financial Services market; Retail Banking, Investment Banking Capital Markets, Insurance and have a strong track record of closing deals and exceeding targets. Experience and understanding of consulting led business. Proven track record of sales success within a high value enterprise solution sales environment. Proven capability to identify, structure and close business oriented RoI based solutions. Proven ability to operate at senior C Level management. Degree educated.

Relationship Management - Evidence of existing high level networks/ contacts within UK Retail Banking, Investment Banking and Insurance; Good interpersonal skills; team player, able to engage well with internal functions and to deploy resources effectively around a sales campaign; Motivational and supportive character.
